Happy New Year to you all! 🥂 🥃 🎉
When there are so many awful things happening in the world, it’s often hard for us to take a step back and hope for good things for ourselves. It can seem trivial to wish for things – material or otherwise – when others are suffering. But suffering because others are doesn’t make sense. It helps neither them, nor us.
(For organisations who can help if you’re struggling, please skip to the links here.)
We can wish for a peaceful, comfortable, happy world for others, show empathy for everyone that is currently in turmoil (of any type), whilst also wanting to improve our own lives. It’s OK to desire change; to want to become more successful: to live a better life.
Our New Year Wish
This New Year we will be thinking of those whose lives are in disarray, sending loving and healing thoughts out into the Universe and hoping someone who needs them, will catch them. We wish for peace from war and terrorism; shelter and comfort from homelessness; food and heat for those affected by the cost of living crisis; friends for those who are lonely; help for anyone who needs it.
And we also wish you, whoever you are and wherever you may be, everything that you wish for yourself, and more. May health, love, success and joy be present in your lives throughout the year.
Happy New Year.
Gill & Nikki
