What do we mean by the title, don’t let the naysayers * steal your dreams?🤔
Have you ever told a friend, family member or colleague that you’re going to do something, only to have them respond by telling you that it’s silly, or it’ll never work? Or even worse, that you’re wasting your time because you’re going to fail anyway?
How did it make you feel? Did it make you shy away from carrying out the necessary steps to get you to where you want to be?
Perhaps it made you feel that what you wanted was unachievable? Or that you shouldn’t even bother because it’s not worth the effort?

You may not realise, but when you react in this way you are allowing other people to dissolve your dreams by giving away your personal power.
Build a circle of people around you who believe in you, or who you admire: people who already have what you want, and those you find inspirational. Move the energy-sappers outside of your circle. You don’t have to drop them completely at this stage – they could be your loved ones, after all – but don’t allow their opinions to halt you. As you raise your personal standards and your self-belief increases, they will no longer be able to influence you in a negative way.
Surround yourself with positive people as often as you can and feel how different your energy is when you’re connecting with them.
Moving On
We would also suggest reading books about self-development and how to build your self-confidence. Then, other people’s opinions no longer influence you so strongly. Once you’re confident in your own abilities, then you can move forward in a more positive way.
What’s A Naysayer?
*The dictionary definition of a naysayer is someone who criticises, objects to, complains, opposes something or is a killjoy! Example in context, “he continues to win, despite the many naysayers”. I believe we have all known people like this in our lives from time to time!

More recommended reading can be found on our Amazon list. We highly recommend The Success Principles by Jack Canfield, who is one of our favourite self-development/success authors.
